"Necessity is the mother of all invention"

A familiar saying that rings true, time and time again. It certainly was the case for me, as I set out to create Lillue and the products that we sell. It was early in 2013 that I spent a great deal of time searching for a product that would give my lampshades new life, without having to dig up my hot glue gun, decide on which color and style to live with and then redesign my shades. I thought about replacing my lamp shades but, to purchase a pair of matching shades that I really liked would have cost upwards of $120 − Each. I couldn't find anything that fit my needs so I created it. With a lot of support and encouragement from family, friends and the occasional dose of "liquid courage", (A.K.A. wine), I now have a finished selection of products ready to share. Lillue's Proprietary Design
The magnetic backing for all of Lillue's products was custom designed to make it easy to grasp, and also features a high grade, heat resistant silicone covering to ensure that the magnets will remain cool to the touch.

How does it work?
Each product features at least 2 magnets - one attached to the decorative item, and the custom designed backing that goes on the inside of a lampshade. The decoration goes on the outside of the lampshade and the backing goes on the inside of the lampshade. The magnets will stick together, holding the decoration in place.

Product Warning
Lillue's products use neodymium magnets and are not intended for young children under the age of 5. Neodymium magnets are very powerful and, if swallowed, can cause very serious injury.
